I agree that Cavies may not be the BEST in the horns, but what they play, they play well, and I really appreciate how their shows are always so powerful and aggressive. I also think it's cool how the show's theme is laced into every fiber of the music, drill, and guard work. And you really can't beat Cavies marching. Forreal.

but i will agree that as far as just hornline sound and difficulty, the cadets are better by far. they have one of if not the best sounding hornlines in drum corps (maybe a close second to phantom). and plus, they're playing Vesuvius this year :) so that'll be sweet

the cavies might play less but when they're not playing they are spending most of their time marching, while the cadets just spend their time talking into a mic and doing stupid stuff that doesnt require musical talent or marching ability.the cadets are manipulating the use of technology to earn points that they don't really deserve. in other words they cant explain their show through music and drill so they just literally tell it through narration which isn't interesting at all in my opinion.

They play well because they also play LESS than any other D1 corps. Take a stopwatch and time how often the brass actually plays compared to the Cadets. And notice the difficulty of it. The cadets play a lot more often and it's a lot harder, yet they have a better sound (IMO). no offense though, I love what Cavies do, just not my thing.
