I do remember an article many years ago where he Steve Vai and Satriani both agreed who guitar god was to them...Uli Jon Roth! From the start of the piece to 1:15 is absolutely perfect. Not saying the rest is bad or anything, I find myself rewinding to listen to that part. Great show of emotion and speed, its actually not hard to combine speed to emotion, people just seem to only want to look at the guitarist and focus on the negatives and/or what they dislike and not the positives. Not quite. A lot of guitarists learn blues before anything else and as a result hear the blues in all music. I've noticed people identify something as "blues" derived even when it theoretically lacks much blues structure at all. In fact this song is a great example. Political correctness also hugely exaggerated the influence blues had on modern metal/rock and ignored the massive folk/classical influence but lets not go into that... Still... 90% of popular music sucks, so its a moot point.

I'm not swedish, but I speak it a little, since I'm a Finn studying the language for fourth year now. :) Jag är inte svenska, men jag talar det lite eftersom jag är en Finne. Jag har studerat svenska över tre år nu. Something like that, Swedish is not really my favourite subject at school, gotta say. But it's still pretty easy language to learn, especially for English-speaking people, because it's definitely pretty similiar to "engelska".. ;-)
