Driving around all day today and couldn't get this song out of my head. The complete definition of joie de vivre as shown through one person; an artist in the prime of his life: an effortless, incomparable, soulful, truly wonderful voice and recording. This is why I love YouTube. Thank you so much for posting this song.

Man....im 19 but this song and his moves are too smooth. He can sang too.
By: parmen02. on 21 Nov 08, 23:59:02
His moves are unbelievable. I defy anyone to duplicate them. His body is totally synchronized with the music. He is sublime. He seems to be in touch with the music on a different level. I watch this video over and over and I still can't comprehend it.

silky smooth, one of the all time greats..

you're right smrfox99. It didn't have a "shake that ass" lyric or enough bass to break windows she wouldn't relate. Some of the youth are so non-cultured these days that I could remake the song and add a little hip-hop sound to it and they'd think it was original.

I was playing "To Be Loved" one day, and some girl(around 18yrs old) said "what the hell is that", and tried to get me to shut it off. This dumbass youth, possess no SOUL! How can you not like this music? & on another note, Mr. Wilson was like Elvis...except five times better, and more original.

listen to some of jackie's songs bring back memories. i listened to his one song called, 'danny boy' and you can hear his voice is just awesome! that even among some, even compared him to enrico caruso.
By: Lionel4482. on 20 Nov 08, 05:17:51
You're damn right he did. Elvis even copied some of his singing techniques. Elvis was talented to be able to mimic the styles and add a little of his own. Skin color definitely didn't hurt him either. Jackie Wilson had twice the talent but is only half as famous. Fair?
By: readynow12345. on 20 Nov 08, 02:19:10
Elvis copied his moves, anyone who disagree's is out of there mind, just comapare the two it's almost like watching elvis dance, jackie was the man soul soul soul soul..

Incredible talent...where's the talent today? 50 cent? Eminem? Tupac?

I'm 21, and I've been told time and time again I was born in the wrong era. I'm totally addicted to 50's-60's music, dress and culture. Maybe it's because it's what I grew up with, but still! The music tastes of my peers disgust me... How can you not have heard of such class-acts as Jackie Wilson?!

jackie wilson and his like, inspired northern English soul fans to dance this way.thus creating the northern soul scene. When a few years later Jackies cousin Levi Stubbs and the Four Tops hit the scene along with many other great Soul groups,Northern Soul was well and truly born, and lives on today.
