I believe personaly that there shouldn't be same sex marridges. The whole reason to have marridge is to pro-create, right? Well two men and two women can't pro create! I mean if you have BxB GxG relaionships its okay but no one is truely GAY. There is a man out there for every woman and a woman out there for every man. A heterosexual couple can enjoy a secular marriage and still call it 'marriage,' so I see no reason why a homosexual couple shouldn't be allowed to do the same. Unless the couple in question is knocking on the chapel doors asking for the church to perform the ceremony, there's no reason for the church to be involved at all.

See, this is the problem that CLAMP is trying to fix. Homosexuality ISN'T widely accepted, (and countries still exist where homosexuality is punishable by death DX ) but there is no legitimate reason for it NOT to be accepted. But hey, it was only half a dozen decades ago that interracial marriage was considered 'wrong,' but it's commonplace today, and now there are many movements to legalize gay marriage, and I'm happy to live in a country where gay marriage has been legal for three years now.

In my last comment, I was talking to fencingwerewolf. But I do warn you, it's not a good idea to make blanket statements about human sexuality. Some people struggle with thier identity well into adulthood, while others can know whether they're straight or gay at a very young age. Saying that "people only start to have different sexual orientation when they get older" is simply incorrect, and that Tomoyo knows she's in love with another girl shouldn't be considered weird because of her age.

Ummm if I were Sakura I would have just used the little card to handle it all. Not sure if that's the right thing to do though. Then again now she created several Sakura cards and that's good. She could just tell the card what to do? Like telling FLY not to use the wand? She doesn't need designated spells sometimes. She just needs to ask the card normally. No he isn't. Eriol is one half of Clow Reed's reincarnation, (Fujitaka being the other half,) not Clow Reed himself. He's made it very clear that he is his own person, and that even though he wants to tie up a few loose strings Clow left behind, he wants to live a life of his own.

So, this time Eriol didn't cause any destruction. I noticed that he got his idea of making a hole from the textbook story on the sheep, in which there's also a hole. Nakuru is pretty mean to Yukito, and I've never seen Yuktio this sad; he's usually very cheerful. And Shaoran hugged Tomoyo there! Gotta love his protective instinct! I find the "ruins your chances with them" a little odd too. They are fictional... So that REALLY ruins the chance of dating/marrying them now that I think of it. I know it's easy to get emotionally attached to certain characters, I know I do all the time, (and hey, how could you NOT love Touya?) but being sad because of an aspect of a character that 'ruins your chances' with them is a little warped, since NO ONE actually has a chance with a fictional character. \o/

Well, it's like this: Syaoran THINKS that he's in love with Yukito and feels very attracted to him for reasons he cannot explain. But there ARE reasons that he's attracted to him, and once those are revealed, it becomes very clear that Syaoran isn't gay. Touya and Yukito, on the other hand, are. Touya makes a sacrifice for Yukito that clearly shows how much he loves him, and Yukito even verbally admits to Sakura that he's in love with Touya. Their relationship is very subtle, and very sweet. =D

Huh. I'd like to know where you got this information, this 'real-time calender frame' sounds interesting, and I've never heard of it. I guess that really puts the anime time line at odds with the manga time line, which was the one I was going by. I'd also like to know where it says that Sakura turns ten at the start of the series. I've never found solid confirmation about her age, but her birthdate and the Japanese school system put her at nine years old.

I beg to differ. The show starts officially in April 98 and ends in Mar of 2000. Clamp used a real-time calendar frame for the dates and Sakura's 10th birthday was nine days before the first episode. She's 10 in the first season, 11 in the second, and turns 12 sometime in the period between the 3rd season and 2nd movie, which we know takes 4 months after the 3rd season ends, so that would place it sometime in July. That means that by the end of the movie, Syaoran would also be 12.

According to the manga, Kero and Spinel "shine by themselves." In other words they are able to eat food, so they can supplement themselves when they don't receive enough magic from their masters. With Yue and Ruby, I don't know if they can't or just don't since their human forms eat and drink like normal people. Since Yukito and Nakuru can drink and get drunk, this might affect Yue and Ruby, but it hasn't been proven. Kero's drunken state may have been purely psychological.
