hedman is a tough more rounded as a defense of minded defender but still can score imagine a zedano chara player who scores 20 goals and can assist 30 hedman will be a great player and also have some offensive stats too bottom line he is most liley going to long island unless the islanders draft taveras

Actually Victor has worn a visor all season long. Most of the footage in the clip above are from last season. In Sweden you can start wearing a visor from Jan 1st the year you turn 18.

Well obviously he'll get a visor once he hits 18, for now he is required to have a full face mask though. I don't think he's very overrated, quite frankly there has never been a player like him coming out of Sweden before. He is already the second best defenceman on his team as a 17-year-old, the only defenceman better than him being a 34-year-old veteran, and Hedman will probably surpass him by the end of the season if he keeps developing like he is now. He's the real deal! ;)

I dont think Tavares is going to be the number one pick simply because the islanders are looking like the worst team in the NHL this year which is expected because their so young. Anyway Hedman will go number one simply because the islanders need a big physical defensman and they already drafted josh bailey last year who is going to be their goal scorer of the future.

Nah, I wouldn't say Hedman is very overrated. He's the next "big thing" (haha, get it? :P) in the NHL. Not only is he huge, but he still has decent speed for a kid his size. He's averaging 21+ minutes with his SEL team atm, and is +13, which is second best in the entire league! Granted he's not as physical as Pronger, but when was Lidstrom ever physical? The size still gives Hedman a good reach, and hopefully he'll play his body more in the future. Remember he's just 17 years old! :)

Reidman, Hedman HAS to wear a visor. So sayeth the rules... It's like saying Tavares is a pussy for playing in the juniors while Hedman plays in a senior mens league. Tavares doesn't have a choice either, he isn't allowed to play senior hockey till he's 18. Using this comparison, can you see the problem with your argument? :P

If you asked me, both Hedman and Tavares are bit overrated,I believe some of the other players ranked below them in this coming NHL draft might have better impacts in the NHL then these top two.Hedman will be a good franchise player,but I agree with you Nationsoccer13 just not Pronger or Lidstrom good

I'm sorry, this guy has been compared to Chris Pronger, this guy may have the size and the better skill set but when it comes to the physical play and toughness its no where close, he will never be a Chris Pronger type of player or Lidstrom for the matter.He's more like a Tomas kaberle but in a bigger body.

First of all you don't know all of what was said and reading a couple comments doesn't give you the full perspective on the argument.
