We should understand that it was a dificult time and dificults years for Dave. He had already divorced once and he was going to divorce again. Of course that afected him. The DEVOTINAL TOUR was also very long and he got exausted. I undestand that it can be dificult or even impossible to stay strong and carry on in such situation. Thanks GOD he was able to recover. :)

Strange, I'm an old man it seems. To me, DM was a British band of the 80s -- I have no use for this American band of the 2000s. Ultra, Exciter, Playing the angel -- these are all pale afterthoughts as compared to the REAL Depeche Mode of Black Celebration, Violator and Songs of faith and devotion. I do think though that Exciter was the absolute bottom, Ultra was one step before reaching the bottom and Playing the angel gives forlorn hope that the way goes up from there.

i'm shocked at the person who said the voice is nothing! you could probably say that for a lot of bands, but when it comes to DM that is such a ridiculous thing to say. there's no way those songs would be the same! the songs would not be executed in the way they are by any other singer! the atmosphere that is unique to DM would not exist! i've not always been a fan, but back when i didn't care for their music i had complete respect for dave's voice and it was his voice that caught me

Seriously, if someone wants to exercise their creative gifts - particularly someone as talented as David Gahan has proved to be - then we as fans should be supportive of at least the attempt. Creativity gives us the wonderful and inspired things that we've come to enjoy and love - like DM itself. I've been a DM fan since early, early 80's and I have to put my two cents in here. Anyone but the guys from DM backing up Dave just doesn't sound right and I think it's weak. Weak. Andy, Martin and Alan are the guys to be behind Dave. Hell dig up Vince and get him out there. But who are these yahoos with him on stage in this video? Maybe I'm offbase, but there's my opinion.

thank you, but the video wasn't that difficult to make since the vocals weren't sped up so they fit the original video perfectly. It was basically a cut and paste job with a few generic special effects thrown in. Although it did take me months of working on it off and on, so yes, MY video IS AMAZING! ;)

I'm sure a % of dm fans would be appalled by hearing kc mashed up with their "precious" (pun intended) DM. Actually, many DM fans probably don't care for the "Rex The Dog remix" of Photographic which was used for this mashup since it doesn't really have much resemblance to the original, but in this DJ Earworm mashup it's perfect. You are entitled to your opinion tho, and Im not attacking you :) I grew up with DM (80s/early 90s electronica era) and enjoy KC too. I didnt make the songjust the vid

I know, the Rex The Dog Remix of Photographic is very different than the original, plus it has none of the lyrics, just snippets of vocals and a couple of "I Take Pictures" close to the end of the song (which I edited out of my video). If you listen to the remix at 1:38 you can hear the part that sounds the most like the original.
