I was living on a rural island in Ireland when this came out. About once a week I would hitchhike to the nearest town, find the music shop, and see if this album had come in yet. One day, it had. I took it back to the hostel that I worked at and played it over and over again. Luckily, no one complained. Not that I would have stopped it if they had. :)

I find so much comfort in this song, and her voice. its so gentle and have a sort of happy/sad feeling to it, that i love. the conflict of feelings where what makes you happy also has a sort of melancholy to it. sublime in my opinion.. :)

partly consistency, many comic books allow for diffrent type of art styles, and quite often what seem like similar style is still subtly different from artist to artists. Comic book art is semi realistic and there is only so much you can do when working with pencil and ink. But at the end day the characters have to be recognisable, and the art style has to appeal to a mass market, and be simplistic enough for the artist to make 20 pages worth, while realistic enough too not seem cartoony.

oh, I'm acualy a auto-tech (hot rod builder) by trade. Although i've never owned a classic rod such as this. I've built them ('23 T, '40 Ford coupe, '57 chev pickup). I was mainly talking about how previous generations grew up with these, And had a chance to own one before they became so hard to find. My newest personal projects are a 1985 chevy 1500, with a 383 stroker/TH400, And a 2000 Dodge Avenger racer (road style track)

Don't fret. I'm 20 and I have built 2 hot rods since I was 15. first was a little rat rod 36 chevy pickup, and my newest is a 1947 chevy stylemaster. It's all about desire and drive to get one and the discipline to follow through. They're out there. There is an old saying in the hot-rod culture. "Old rods never die, they just get resurrected." Approach it like that and you'll have one. Later
