While Mac users seem happy to use what Apple gives them, PC users prefer to seek out their own applications and customise the experience to suit their tastes. Io non capisco proprio... Chi usa Pc rifiuta a priori la possibilità che ci sia qualcosa che funziona meglio... Per il video editing ad esempio un sistema MAC è sicuramente meglio di un Pc... Most people can't run imovie 08 because of all the filters that it has in the program. Unless you're running an intel chip you need to have a dual 2.5 g5 processor to run imovie 08.

on one of my computers I have iLive 06 and on my other I have iLife08 and I don't know what everybody is saying the new iLife 08 is pretty darn impressive and I don't get why everybody is bashing on the new iMovie I don't know maybe it's b/c I am not just a amature editor anymore but iMovie 06 seemed so caveman to me and it was TOO easy to use I give iMovie 08 an 9 or 10 out of 10 so all and all you should definatly try it out. and you can probably find a box of iLife 06 on ebay somewhere.

You are way over doing it. There is an easy way to split a clip. Just select the amount of video, right click on it, then select "split clip." You're just used to the old iMovie and there is a way to have the same quality in the new one.

Don't stay with iMovie '06.. The guy in this movie has "Overlooked" iMovie '08. For example... You can split a clip by drag selecting the clip you want to split, and choosing "Split Clip" from the Edit menu.

Ummm Dude I know you are a die hard iMovie HD user.. however.. I've discovered that you can really do alot of things in iMovie '08 that you can in iMovie '06. You mentioned.. You can't Split a Clip.. Well.. you can.. You just drag select the area.. and choose "Split Clip" from the "Edit" menu. What's the problem. You guys are a bunch of winers.. iMovie '08 is a Decent program once you get to know it. I have a feeling more upates will make it better than HD '06

Go to the apple site. They have a download. (which is what I'm doing righ now because I have imovie 08) imovie 08 suuuuuuuuuuuuuucks!!! It's more for pictures and it is very clean when trimming and what not, but the editing for movies is horrid.
