Yes it was a collaboration of Grey, Adam, and some graphic artists. I think it's fairer to credit both. Since Tool is the one more closely associated with this clip (no offense to Grey, I love him just as much as Tool)

Alright so I'm a huge tool 'fan' and all and this is used in the parabola video but its based on the artwork of Alex Grey and I presume created by some team of graphic artists that works closely with Grey, Adam directed the video and all but for crediting purposes Tool really need not be mentioned, Grey perhaps.

I would say Kundalini Yoga is about Awareness becoming your Essence. Radiance is just a waylaying you on the path reward. I think this is the key. Yoga in India is not something you get a DVD on, it is a "go to your guru" learning... teachers and their intent is the key. It keeps you on path, and honest to the intent. If you only wish physical or aerobic benefit -- a DVD/ Western teacher is fine... but you miss the message and spirit of it. And that's ok. But don't mix the two up! Spiritual journeys are not to be undertaken lightly.

3-HO, or "American Sikh" women wear turbans by choice. They are very devout. I am shocked at how critical people are being about non-substantive issues. i would rather be taught by someone that "walks the walk" as the 3-HO Kundalini yoga practitioners do, than by someone that is just a fitness instructor--probably taught Calisthenics in the 70's, and aerobics in the 80's, and whatever was popular in the 90's, and now is teaching yoga. not that there is anything wrong with that--but come on!

Kundalini awakening does not necessarily mean awakening, neither does it mean absolute consciousness. Kundalini awakening is an opening that increases the energy flow and has an inspiring effect on the nervous system on a cellular level, then again it is an opening to a new sensation of existence which is again an opening to a heightened experience of being. But remember it doesn't really matter whether you are Kundalini awakened or not, true awakening is to simply feel pure simple beingness.

We've heard a lot of viewpoints regarding Kundalini awakening, including those who have had adverse effects and those who have come through it just fine with no problems, like me. Nobody trained me. It was a spiritual awakening for me and I was just a kid at the time. I'm trying to keep the dogmatic statements to a minimum in my comments section.

Kundalini Awakening need not be always associated with a spiritual awakening. More over it can give you adverse effects unless you are trained to handle it. Self awareness itself will give the insight or view. By constant meditation you can make the steadiness of the view. Kundalini awakening will only help you at this stage and not before.

Thank You Paul, I had this experience about 10 odd years ago, where I was lying on my stomach in bed, having what can only be described as a slightly relaxing sexual (solo) experience, when I felt energy rising from the base of my spine, upwards. Then I saw the multicoloured filaments which formed an "eye" image, it was very beautiful and It felt fantastic. I have never had a repeat experience like this, but I often feel a tingling at the nape of my neck, I love Yoga! All The Best

There is another step, at least in shamanic traditions, where the is ego basically implodes to the point where it takes a back seat to spirit - the 'little voice of conscience' takes a permanent place in the drivers seat where the ego used to be. basically you die and come back rewired - half human, half spirit so to speak. (this is WAY past the 'seeing the light' near-death experience) wouldn't recommend it without an experienced teacher for obvious reasons - some don't make it back.

I'm glad you came through it OK. I think that the ego is a necessary part of a functioning person, and that's why it tends to snap back. Not a bad thing, and you retained your identity, even better. When you told me you were engaged in constant daily meditation I figured you'd experience some effect.

Sometimes it's hard to know when to confront and when to just let something slide. His religious beliefs differ from yours, and he's trying to include you in his belief system. I agree that if we were more comfortable with mystical experiences they would be more accessible. Mystical experience is often relegated to the fringes of society. Even in established religions it tends to be controlled. Human society requires a shared vision of reality to operate smoothly and there are always some who seek to innovate versus those who strive to maintain order and control.

Also the destruction is nothing more than a closing of a cycle. In order for a new way of life to birth, the old must be destroyed and it's more metaphorical (is that the right word?) than truly an ending of sorts. I did this slowly, took it really easy, (didn't even do it all) and the next morning, my back felt better than it had in 9 years. Medical doctors, chiropractic, massage, and other forms of yoga did little to nothing for my back. I couldn't bend even 30 degrees. I can now. Although the lift/drop didn't feel good for my back, unless I leaned forward. Skipped most of those. Thanks for this

Tercel, I can see some truth to that, but at the same time, yoga can be very dangerous if you're not doing it right, so there NEEDS to be some system in place for making sure that people who teach are qualified to do so. The same with paying for classes - you want to make sure that your teacher is able to dedicate a significant portion of their time to yoga, in order to teach you safely & correctly. We live in a world where everyone needs money in order to survive, unfortunately.

I've been suffering with migrains for over a year now and had serious doubts of this working. I woke up with a migraine this morning and after doing this exercise for less than 30 seconds my migraine was almost completely gone. Over the span of a few more hours it went away completely! I saw these guys in 1987 at the UCI Bren in Irvine, Ca. They had Jane's Addiction open up for them. We had thrown all of lame seats off to the sides of the auditorium so we could start a pit. Almost got thrown out for being too hostile with those chairs. Anyway, what a great band with so much history behind them!!! Love and Rockets!!!

I just got this DVD and I LOVE IT. It completely Rocks. If you are having a hard time sticking to a yoga practice like I was - get this one.
