Because clearly just laughing won't change our world. Why in the great heck are those persons belonging in that type of elite intelligence and education seem to never realize that they are vehiculating their influence and thoughts the wrong way is beyond me.

As for lazy bums and people who like to lay around the beach too much, they now have a name for it. It's called "Motivational Disorder" and yes the drug companies have come up with a pill for it. So the government can have everybody up and working for the system. Shame the people who don't want to work 12 months a year with a two week vacation, week-ends mowing the lawn or cleaning their apartments! (please excuse my rant!) Oh okay. That's probably because in the video I only have a certain amount of time to say a whole lot of things, and over a number of comments I can say things I didn't have time to say. Also, although I have my own way of relating to the world, I am often (not always) perfectly capable of doing what I said in the video and switching into other people's language if I have to.

Wonderful! I'm struck by your title, "In My Language." It seems that the language metaphor gets in the way here. Could I make a suggestion? People for whom language comes easily control their psychological lives by using stories (paradigmatically, plot and character). They live autobiographically. Perhaps others have alternative ways of controlling their psychological lives. Perhaps some use music (paradigmatically, rhythm and melody). If so, then perhaps they live autobio-musically?

Interesting video. I do not see you as sub-human or anything of that nature, but I am uncertain that I see your language as a meaningful form of primary communication as it is non-standard even among those who are autistic. I mean, if I had spoke a language that only I knew, is it really a language? Also, is it really the burden of society to have to learn the individual language of each autistic person in order to communicate with them?

Thank you for this video. I teach a class of sensory autistic teens and always strive to understand their language and needs and hope that I have never considered my students to be any less of a person than anyone else. But I'm a bit worried about the idea of deficits that has been talked about in these comments. I think that if there are differences, one cannot consider *either* side to have a deficit. We can only hope to build understanding from *both* sides. I hope to do my part in that.

Til dere dansker. De fleste dansker som har sett denne filmsnutten fra Ut i var hage, Har reagert negativt på den, og mener at det som er vist her, ikke stemmer. Og det har dere helt rett i. Selvfølgelig stemmer ikke dette. Men det er morsomt. Det er bare det at denne serien er ment for et norsk publikum. Men jeg synes I glemmer en vigtig ting, og det er, at humoren i sverige og norge er noget anderledes end i DK. DK har ikke bare ordmæssigt mere til fælles med englændere (tænk bare på alle fremmedordene, hvor svensk/norsk (og islandsk) selv laver nye, men også i humoren.

Are we supposed to take this seriously. None of the things are true all the time. In the end, You can never read a person by just reading body language. Try reading the body language of someone who has some king of anxiety or mental disorder. You won't be able to read them. You might think you know what they're thinking but you have no clue. Unfortunately, people have been fighting each other since long before the races got mixed via colonization, much less the slave trade. Even religious wars often have an economic basis. And, not to get picky, but can you imagine the logistics of sending people "back home" when individual people are often a mixture of several races? it's called diction. the preffered choice of word which differs across different region even within natively malay speaking region in indonesia or malaysia. for example, the northeast and south part of malaysia use different word for "Often" Selalu (johor/riau) = Sokmo (kelantan) = Sering (Sumatra). But each word exist in the Malay Dictionary.

both bahasa melayu (malaysia, singapore, south thailand, brunei) and bahasa indonesia is the same as all aforementioned country has made a common consensus that malay language as spoken in the johor-riau area as the standard. indonesian government itself made a declaration that bahasa melayu kepulauan riau as "Bahasa Persuratan Tinggi" which makes it the ultimate standard. so set your nationalism aside and let culture be beyond political boundry.

Yeah, I'm sure it does. I also like the idea of generalizing a whole nation of people that have diverse customs and beliefs. I never claimed to liking its politics, in fact the majority of Indonesians hate it as well. Unlike you I don't feed on the negative hatred, I like to think that there's good in everyone.
