I definitely love the electronic style, but it is a quite standard song. And lyrics are batshit crazy, but I think he meant them to be that way. So yeah, I agree somewhat. I'll take any song from Feels over SJ songs.

This is a good primer? Damn, I was sort of hoping most of their stuff was 'Who Could Win a Rabbit'-style singalongs :) The vocals in this are pleasant enough, but everything else...well, it seems like the atmosphere of the song either makes it disctinctly memorable or spoils the whole thing. I still can't decide. Is that whirring sound that pops up now and then from the Fight Club soundtrack? I'm sure I've heard it somewhere before.

It's because it serves as a good primer for Animal Collective. The synth background is succinctly weird while the lyrics are easy to sing along to but are esoteric and punctuated by oddly memorable shrieks.

Well, I feel stupid. Sorry guys, I think I made a comment a while back about some artists throw together random crap and people call them geniuses, and I'm still not a fan of this song. So I listened to "Feels." Wow. What a great album. Now that's innovation, and beauty, and a LOT different than this. I didn't used to like them, but now I have a little more appreciation.

It's alright, don't worry about it. It is indeed quite different, though there is also another remix on the EP by Black Dice which is a bit more faithful, but I don't like it much, mostly just applies effects to the original song. Not that great. I'd check out the rest of Pantha du Prince's stuff too, it's pretty good. Happy Hunting!

Well I didn't make it! Basically this was put on the Peacebone EP, with that title, there isn't really anything else I could call it. I'd have to agree that it's much less a remix than it is a completely different song with samples from Peacebone, unless the synths notes are somehow sampled from the original, but I don't think they are. Either way it was just listed as that, and I still appreciate the track for its own merit. Not sure anymore of the original track would work in a club setting.

its standard tuning. its an extremely easy song the way i play it. for the first part you play and octave of E, then bend up on a C on the A string, then switch to an octave of A. then the chords are B-E-A-E repeated. the chorus is C#m-A-B-E. if you spend a little time on it, you'll find its not that difficult. the singing takes some getting used too though.
