I thought the actors in the movie did a great job of portraying a soldier coming home. It's not different than what happened during Vietnam except that they volunteered to join. Might want to get educated yourself. The movie portrayed the Stop Loss process incorrectly. Once you are finished with outprocessing you cannot be stop lossed. No less than 90 days prior to deployment can one be stoplossed for the fact their ETS date gets passed during deployment. Once home from their tour, they have 90 days till they can ETS.. and no you cant be stoplossed a 2nd time. but if you have leave available you can take terminal leave and leave before that 90 day mark.

You do know before you go to out-process...but this is a movie. It's all about the concept of stop loss, not how realistic it is how they are told. Parts of hte movie were not entirely correct but I think they did a really good job getting the general idea right. No movie is perfect or 100% accurate. This movie does a pretty good job with the soldiers emotions coming home though. Great movie

It burns me how it is that the media twists the truth. The front page of the enlistment contract states the total obligation, which most times is 8 years. Most times is 4 to be served active and 4 to be basically on standby. Its not governement tricks, its right on black and while and we all signed the dotted line. Boohoo, cry me a river. Read your damned contract before you sign. Does that movie mention that part of the contract, which as I said, is right on the front page?

I think in the beginning of their relationship they were happy, but as they matured they just grew apart. Thats what happens to couples sometimes...Also, they got married really yound, like at the age 21-23 and they had ava a couple months after they were married...
