I remember reading they had asked Owen Elliott (Cass "Mama Cass" Elliott formerly of the Mamas and the Papas) and China Kantner (daughter of former Jefferson Airplane members Grace Slick and Paul Kantner) to join them in the group. In the instructional part of this video, he showed how with a metronome playing in your headphones, you shouldn't hear it. If your hearing the metronome while you're playing, you are not in time with it. You should be playing over it, which should make it unhearable (is that a word). He is amazing. It actually has nothing to do with comfort or using hi-hats in fills. I write/draw with my right hand but I'm dominant left on a kit. We use both hands equally but we have a stronger left-hand lead..which is reserved for the hi-hat and ride cymbal. You grow up playing that way. Also, a "right-handed" drummer can actually learn to play "open-handed"

Having never seen or heard anything by either performers but always seeing them highly regarded in the mag Time Out NY I decided to get tickets for the show. Then I came here looking for some of their music. Discovered "this" haunting melody and Keren"s "Not Going Anywhere" another absolutely beautiful tune. Yes but talent isn't an opinion.Simon is a better player then Jeff however they are both incredible musicians.Your opinions don't change the fact that someone is exeptionally talented or not because that is an absolute truth and not a relative opinion.What drummers you like is an opinion but talent is certainly not.

O CD "lavo ta novo" fica pra história como um dos melhores albuns de rock nacionais de todos os tempos, senão o melhor mesmo. Foi uma pena o que aconteceu com a banda e sua fase "radin", com letras estúpidas, diferentemente desse álbum aí, que tinha letras complexas, que despertavam emoções fortes!

Acho que não é bem assim. Não tem como dizer que não existe uma banda de rock boa no Brasil e que todas as bandas só pensem em dinheiro e fama. Tem muita banda boa de rock desconhecida que faria muito sucesso, com vontade de tocar, gostando do que toca, e mesmo com os vários modos de expor o trabalho, inclusive a internet, é dificil lançar um CD que possa chegar ao ouvido das pessoas certas, por isso não se pode dizer que é unanimidade esse negócio de o Brasil não ter rock bom!

meu amigo , nos dias de hoje , com toda essa facilidade de divugacao , se uma banda for boa mesmo nao tem dessa de empresario nao , o problema e que nao tem banda boa mesmo , banda que queira tocar sem pensar tanto no dinheiro , as bandas que realmente fazem sucesso sao aquelas desacreditadas , que tocam porque gostam de tocar como raimundos , charlie brown jr(na primeira formacao) e assim vai.
