I was there and remember there being a LOT of cameras filming the entire show, so the fans await an official DVD release of this epic night! The quality on this is decent to marginal due to VHS transfer.

Hey man! I was the opening act for Phish at IBG with my band Small Fish the night you mentioned in Arcata. They were AWESOME that night. You're right. The small shows are better. That was before they were really big, but had already put their best music out. Trey was a really nice guy. Mike G stole a tuner we lent him... Then returned it broken the next time we opened for them at Redwood Acres.

Shows like this one is how I remember Phish. I saw Phish often in the late 80's into the early 90's. My first show Halloween night at Goddard College in 1987. They played with another band called The Joneses. I left at 6am the next morning and they were still playing! The last time I saw them live was at the International Beer Gardens in Arcata, CA. I think that was in 1991. Seeing them at a large venue like MSG would be totally disappointing.

They already announced dates in March to which more than 100,000 people requested tickets for, it wouldn't make since to make dates with an even LESS amount of time to buy tix. trey has not remembered the lyrics correctly since '93. It doesn't matter! The groove is hot. He messed up the Simple lyrics at Hampton 03 and even the YEM chant at Greensboro 03 (Man..shit...shiiiiit!) Haha! Gotta go with '93 for peak musicianship (they tightened up, least mistakes, best vocal intonation, longest endurance), '90-'92 for innovation and musicality(though most innovative ideas came much earlier). They funked it up and really explored sonic (rather than tonal) possibilities '97 on. These are important distinctions that would promote discussion rather than arguments.
