I love the tip on using eyedrops! :] I foil with Bare Minerals and I have always foiled with water, and youre right - it sort of crumbles! I never put two and two together! I highly recommend getting their foiling brush - it comes in their "Foil Eye" kit and any of the wet/dry eyeshadow brushes. They work really well.

I've been noticing a lot of people applying pigment wet. I love the look and have been trying for AGES to do it properly. I've used water and was wondering why it would look "crumbly". Wow I never thought of using eye drops for a mixing medium thanks so much. I also saw someone using vaseline on here too. But I think eye drops would be better as vaseline doesn't dry quickly and will probably crease in hot weather :)

well... i think i can help.. what i do is the extra i have in the lip i put on a piece of papper and then angle it to fall back in the container neatly. lol kinda wierd but it works for me. well hope it helps =]

the nyx is one dollar because THATS WHAT ITS WORTH.you actually get alot more pigment with loreal even with out a base.thats why its much more and i think its worth it.

This frustrates me a bit. Before I improved my make-up skills I used HIP loose powders without a base & they were amazing. I did use my finger, but still, not as badly as they were showing up. Now I use a base & they come off beautifully. I'm not really sure why they were so bad for you. I love NYX too, but I am just saying that Loreal HIP is one of my favorites.I have almost every duo, & 6 loose powders. The powders do look like crap in your vid. Maybe you got a bad batch, I'm not sure.

I agree with what you said about the loreal, it's too chunky nyx pigments are way better and a suggestion get some 5 grm jars and put them in there thats what I do. have u tried the nyx chrome eyeshadows they are loose powders also and are beautiful and as far as the pressed the best ones are the single and the ultimate pearl eyeshadows they are pressed but wow are they pigmented and the colors are beautiful

wow. honetly i LOVE hip pigments it doesnt look like you were being fare to the hip pigments their not like ANYTHING like mines i have rebel in hip pigments it is SOO pigmented is crazy just DRY , wet is too much for me! maybe you should try diff colors u picked some bland colors , dark.

I do like the NYX pigments, but i tend to find that when you try to brish them on your eyelids or blend them, all the powder just seems to get brushed off.. even with mac paint under it. :-/ If used wet they are great but much harder to blend. My HIP pigments seem to work better than yours though, i wonder if the product has been changed.. either way im a fan of both for different reasons, but the price on NYX wins by far!! haha

L'OREAL HIP??? Oh, yeah! I know what you mean when you say 'Flaky', this will sound funny, but it looks like those 'Mush Putato powder from the box' the one that you just add water, milk and butter? Just the flakes are smaller size. I love my Pearl Mania Pigments and L'oreal is great, too...but not in the pigments. Great Review girl!

hi I have almost all of the loreal pigments and I think there fine. I own all 3 kinds and all products are from different companies so there not gonna be the same. I think they all have diff consistancy but there all good for there own prices. NYX is cheapest and mac is more money it depends on what you wanna spend really. I like them all but loreal isnt as bad as what your saying. You need to put it in the lid and push it down and its powdery then. TY for your review!!

I just bought my first 2 HIP pigments and i have 2 say that i love them i just put a primer base on before and it stays on all day i think it doesnt matter what brand ur makeup is its jst a matter of how u apply the makeup and where i live the l'oreal HIP is not that much i dnt remember how much exactly i paid but i love them!!!

Thanks. I have all 24 nyx, about 7 hip pigments, several MAC pigments, Makeup forever and Bare Escentuals glimmers. I have found the NYX ones to be the lowest quality b/c they seem to be too glittery. I always use them all with a base (Urban Decay's Primer potion or other primer).

re: staying power. you shouldn't be too disheartened that the pigments wiped off. I thought that the teal stayed on quite well, actually. I have genuine (purchased IN a MACPro store) pigments... and the violet, rose, melon, and white (this is a d/c vintage color) wipe off in a single LIGHT wipe. You need to apply them wet or with a base-- otherwise they are useless.

It sucks that you got fakes but those fakes are made pretty well from what I saw. MAC pigments come off pretty easily as well unless you have a good base because it's a fine milled powder . So, the TEAL you have maybe fake but it took quite a few rubs for it to come off, but the colour wasn't the true TEAL either.Hopefully you can use the fakes somehow

My eyes are very dark brown, almostblack. There is such a contrast in my skin. It's either very light ivory or bright pink. I recently started using Olay Touch of Sun instead of foundation. It is toning down the pink and giving me a bit of a healthy tan look. This might be the answer to improving my Irish tan LOL. Foundation just doesn't work well for me any more....now that I'm mature age wise. Perhaps I just need to be more confident about moving away from neutral looks occasionally.

My hair is also very dark red/fuchsia. Does the pinkness on your cheeks bother you? If so, have you tried a color corrector or concealer to tone down the pink? Maybe that would help you feel less x-mas tree-like ;p hehe I really think people should wear any color they like. What color eyes do you have? I like wearing blues or pinks on my lid with deep browns in the crease & outer corner. That always looks pretty, i think.

Great creative combination. I have a question. My hair is very dark like your and has a touch of read highlights but my skin is very fair with rosy pink cheeks. I don't have rosacea, it's just my Scotch-Irish heritage. I have a hard time finding colors that work for me and tend to stick with neutrals so I don't look like a Christmas tree. Do you have suggestions for colors that might work?

It's a seamless hoop... so you have to use pliers to pinch it closed. There is no opening once it's closed... it's just a "seamless" ring, so it cannot come out. =) To get it out you have to pull it open with like 2 pairs of needle-nose pliers or something of that nature. I think there are special body jewelry pliers for opening & closing hoops (I just don't own anything like that.)

Wow, really good vid. And Mac products are great too. Can you recommend a good primer/fixer for eye make-up? Every time I do my eyes they look great for about 30 mins and then all the colour mushes into the creases of my eyelids and I get a mascara shadow under my bottom eyelashes. Grrr... I want to be able to do make-up that lasts all night.
