The Pillows will never be as great as the Beatles in terms of international fame and understanding of their music (I mean let's face it, since they're Japanese they don't have that chance). But I like their music much more than the Beatles' music. I mean comon, White Incarnation, Kool Spice, Living Field, Please Mr. Lostman, Little Busters, RUNNER's HIGH, and Happy Bivouac... FLCL, Furi Kuri, and Fooly Cooly are ALL correct. It's just that Furi Kuri is proper Japanese Romaji. You see in Romaji, there is no letter "L" so they use the letter "R" for the closest sound. The reason for the rest of the changes are because of Romaji pronunciation.

This is one of my favorite songs of all time. It reminds me a lot of The Smiths, but without the pervasive melancholy-ness. It's obvious that Manabe's guitar playing on the early records (particularly White Incarnation) was inspired by Johnny Marr's playing, but this is the last time his influence ever pops up. Too bad.
