"locked in silent monologue" is another great line. The second part of the song is more tricky and can be seen as a flashback of images and memories which led him into his actual state (locking back on the years, seems I have lost my way...) and the reasons of why he chose a solitary life...

Another interpretation here: The song is about the "plague" of the lighthouse keeper, where "Plague" is the solitude he experiences in his job as a lighthouse keeper ("my tower is built on stone"). He starts to loose his mind in this solitude and starts to freak as the song says, and finally he comitted suicide jumping into the sea.

Talk about revisionism..I saw VDGG a number of times around the pawnhearts period and they never played it once. but I quote from the remastered pawn hearts booklet page 12 Jaxon says" we only played it (a plague)live once, and that was for Belgian tv. This is the proformance that you are calling the godbluff dvd but is in fact two separate films. This is why you will never find it on a bootleg. Unless of course its the Belgian TV film.
