Yeah I know man ,theres a lot of americans that make a total ass of themselves and their country with stuff like you've mentioned. But yeah the main problem is they learn their 'history' from movies..american made movies.. that only feature what america did... Ever wonder why you never see any american ww1 movies? Cause they didnt do shit in that war. Most americans claim they 'saved europe in 2 wars' when they don't even know when ww1 happend.. sigh.. Yeah I'm from Ireland.

Bit of a messed up view of history lol. Russia beat them in the end. America helped, but they didnt just jump in and quickly beat the Germans on their own, they played a part. It was a world war ffs. Germany (and italy) Versus the WORLD lol. (talking about the EU part of the war here) A lot of americans have a mixed up view of the war due to cold war, since the US didn't like Russia, they wernt gonna mention them when talking about WW2.Btw my country didn't even enter the war,yet I know about it
