17 times!?!?!??!!!!? AHAHAHAHAHAAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAH i've visited Disneyland maybe once every week for the past five years or so. I know everything there is to know about Disneyland, all the rules, rides, trivia, everything. The only rides that prohibit any form of visual documenting, are "Honey, I Shrunk the Audience" and "Star Tours" according to my cast member friends. However, ALL rides and attractions prohibit flash photography. 17 times.... HAHAHAHAAH

i totally agree, a travesty in the highest form. They changed one of the best rides just so stupid people could try to comprehend that the movie was based on the ride, so basically Disney cant beat them, so they joined them. what hurts most is that they changed black beard to barbossa. Ok, i'm not sure if that line isn't used actually, but this audio is from " A Musical History Of Disneyland" (2005) and can be purchased at many online stores or Disneyland park... it costs around $80-$100, but it's worth it (6 CD's, 1 Book and a Extra wich is a replica of the 1956 one"

This was the version of the ride I remember seeing in 2003 and 2006. It's too bad Disney had to change it but in watching this ride again there are a few scenes that are a bit dated. Maybe this is why Disney changed several scenes (there's a scene with a family watching the moon landing; another with two people in a big control room circa 1974; and a scene with Steve Jobs working on a home computer in his garage). It's actually pretty cool...Just went on the new ride in March of this year...

just went on this ride in March of this year. It's now hosted by Judi Dench in place of Jeremy Irons. Also, the Tomorrow's Child song is no longer in use. Look for a Steve Jobs-like figure at the end of the ride.

I go 2 Disney World alot and i hate the new version they took out so much @ the end, they got rid of all da future stuff @ the end and all da lights and da mini spaceship earh and the model city. On my trip to WDW, I went on this ride 2-3 times per time when I went to Epcot. Totally relaxing amd amazing! I have yet to ride the new one. I plan on going back to WDW within the next year. Hopfully I'll like the updates. Thanks ru42! Your video's are the BEST!!!!!!!

This ride was at its best with "Tomorrow's Child" as the theme music and Walter Cronkite as the narrator. Why Disney feels the need to "update" things that aren't broken is beyond me. Avid Disney fans will undertstand what I mean. Great tribute! Thanks!

OMG I love this ride! It has to be my favorite ride in the entire park. Has anyone seen the new upgrades?? I haven't been down there since it was reopened, this is really the only version i know. I hope they didn't mess it up.. I was VERY upset to see the wand come down (now mind you, that's the ONLY way I know Spaceship Earth. My first trip was in 2001). Can't wait till my husband & I move down there, season passes.. i'll be there every other weekend..

I still remeber that parade! :D 'Cept the one time I saw it my family and I were dead tired from walking around and a pushy green army man tired to make us get off the bench we were sitting on while we were waiting for it to pass. That and also one of the cones lost a shoe! XD The person in it tried to stop and get it back but it had to move since it couldn't just stay there to get back on the shoe, don't know if the cone got it back though...

I reember this way back when, before these types of things were popular. (I think WetDesign, Sun Valley, CA did this) Sometimes we'd even leave Disneyland and take the monterail over just to watch this. Quite delightful. Thanks so much for putting this vid up!

I have a pass to Disneyland and go every month and usually it doesn't really matter if it's a little crowded and I don't do every ride because I will be coming back. But on my next trip, I will be taking 2 little children who have never been there before. I really don't want it to be packed on their first trip. Does anyone know if it would be less crowded before or after thanksgiving? A 4 and 6 year old probably wouldn't be in the best mood if it's crowded either. If you can help let me know.

No no - It left Disneyland in the late 70s, but is still going strong at Walt Disney World in Orlando. Last month I was there and spoke to a Disney official who said they don't have any plans of removing it. It was recently refurbished, and is a true vintage attraction! It's not torn down!
