I was so not into the alternative scene when it came about during my late teens. The rare song here and there though, from various bands would connect with me. This was one of those songs. Man, watching it again... and his facial expressions and body gestures - the anguish and desperation in his voice, reminds me of why I 'had' to hear it!! It's salvation during those bleak times.

He sure does sound and look good here. I grew up with Scott in Bainbridge Ohio many years ago when his folks owned a gas station in the area. He always dressed up like Adam Ant and loved his weed. Maybe he should have stuck with just the weed then he would still be a decent guy now instead of a stuck up wife beating junkie. Sorry to see him change for the worst. But he sure can sing.

It's since been changed and because Maynard was part of the Tapeworm Project, and the Tapeworm Project never had an album, I wouldn't call it a cover anymore than I would call "Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the Wardrums" a cover.

although i too detest nickelback, that song is universal in message, since I know at least i laugh at my old highschool photos, looking back at what i then thaught was "cool". We grow up, we change, but in those young years we all think we know it all, only to later realise upon looking back how silly and juvenile we were.
