New Wave: better than the first two albums by far, and only slightly better Searching For A Former Clarity. It's not Punk, it's Punk Rock, but it's still great. They haven't sold out. They switched to a major label to work with Butch Vig, which is not a bad thing for two very important reasons: a) he's Butch @#$%ing Vig, and b) they are talented enough to be on such a label. It's not a corporate sellout move but a band evolution move. And they're not anarchists anymore because they've grown up.

The problem with Against Me! is that they still wear all black and claim to be for the anarchist cause while being the puppets of the corporations they used to criticize. This is EXACTLY how movements get silenced; they buy the revolutionaries out. Against Me! doesn't suck just because they moved to a major label; Against Me! sucks because they sold out their beliefs for money and MTV coverage, as well as a more radio friendly sound. Thrash Unreal is a fantastic song alone, but this album sucks.

Not true. While early thrash was based on only speed, many bands grew out of that quickly. Peace Sells has some slow parts to it, and it's still a great thrash. So did Ride the Lightning. How is Fight Fire with fire or Trapped under ice not thrash?
