bb king is really incredible. Stevy Ray Vaugh is also a good blues singer/guitarist. One of my fav Stevy Ray Vaugh songs is "Pride and Joy". Both BB king and Stevy Ray Vaugh are on the Rolling Stones Magizine's list of the World's greatest guitarist ever.

I'd never heard of Lulu before, but I don't find either her singing or her interpretation of the song very interesting. Her voice has an unpleasant, raspy edge to it on the long first note, and all the other times she holds that same note (and this comment comes from someone who likes Tom Waits, for example, who has sometimes a very raspy voice). It just doesn't sound good, and she leaves me completely cold - ie. doesn't sell the song.

it's doyle, he's great. i've been to his concert in poland in Tychy and also saw him playing with Eric in Gdynia - both performances were awesome. as a solo artist he creates fantastic climate, shows his mysterious bluesy style. but also with eric - he's a great sideman and accompanies the Master in a way it should go.

Man, gibson guitars were used too by countless bluesmen(and they were used for a long time before Fender came out in 1948). To name a few:Muddy Waters used lots of gibson guitars before and even after getting into his tele, John Lee Hooker, the 3 Kings (B.B., Albert & Freddie), T-Bone Walker, Hubert Sumlin switches regularly between fender and gibson as well (Strat, his famous 56 goldtop Les Paul, ES-335)
