Holy shit! Thank you, finding ways to learn Icelandic is pure hell.........at least as far as I've discovered. (never thought to look on youtube.) I'm not sure there was a 'transition'. Some languages never had a hard/strong R. Icelandic is a very isolated language, literally isolated, being locked up on an island and remaining nearly unchanged over the past ages, while the mainland languages influenced each other continuously, and still do. Icelandic is like an old language kept in the freezer. Swedish for example is strongly influenced by French, and it has a very 'fluffy/sweet' sound for a Scandinavian language, not 'raw' at all.

The Danes actually have the same R as the Germans. It's not so much a rolling R, it's actually a flat R, it 'dies out' at the end of a word or sentence. For example, the Norwegian 'høre' sounds more like 'hø-e' in Danish, the R goes dead. The Franks didn't have that kind of R, instead they had a very 'hard' R, just like the hard R and G sounds in modern Dutch, which is linguistically ''Franko-Saxon''. The Danes don't have much bloodline to the Franks, mainly just Saxon-Anglo-Frisian.

I can see from many of the comments that few here have been in a life or death fight. The internet if full of opinions thats for sure, know how to determine fact from fiction using common sense guys. I have spent time with trainers from SOCOM and they teach confidence above all else. Knowing what you are doing and keeping calm in a combat situation make the difference between life and death. With respect, anyone who says Krav Maga just "looks good" has never studied it and most certainly never applied it. Any martial artist will tell you that Krav DOESN'T look good or polished. It's been criticized for that very reason. It is, however, highly effective and no-nonsense self-defense. You can not know much about Krav from these few videos. Typical ignition means including the punk sticks, lighters, and even butane mini-torches are a pain to use in my experience. The best answer is a heavy duty MAPP and/or propane torch with a trigger auto-start! I use a Bernzomatic TS4000 ($40 at Home Depot), which lights every time, wind, rain or shine. Plus you get a nice, hot and consistent flame envelope that lights a fuse instantaneously.

You could also go to skylighter fireworks website and buy a firing system. The board is electronic and has electronic components that hook onto a fireworks fuse, the system will cause the fuses on the fireworks to heat up and light them. You could do this from a good distance away without needing to light the fuse by hand. With this system you could set off about 10 fireworks at a time with the push of a button so you could fire them one at a time or all of them at once.

You could also buy safety fuses and using masking tape or zip ties you connect the safety fuse to the fireworks fuse to give yourself more time to get away. For this you connect the fuses by over lapping them and then tape them or tie them side by side, the fire from the safety fuse should ignite the fuse on the firework, the masking tape helps trap the heat for the fuses to ignite. You over lap the safety fuse a few inches over the fireworks fuse to make sure it will get lit.

This is exactly what I tell people to do with cakes, there are people that do light them on grass even though it says use them on a hard flat surface. One more piece of advice is put bricks or rocks around all sides of the device to keep it stable. Some devices can tip over even if you have them on a flat level surface. Always anchor the device so it remains stable.
