i was kid when this came out im 24 now i just probably didnt try as hard because of the games on nes
By: xeokym. on 15 Oct 08, 02:40:06
"omg I didn't even know there was a difference." o__O) good grief....kids these days!!!
By: xeokym. on 15 Oct 08, 02:37:23
how old are you, Cannondaboss? Everyone back in the 80s when this game first came out, finished it. Me & all my friends, we all owned Zelda (hell, who didn't!?) and we all eventually finished it, and quite a few times more than once. Maybe game players these days don't have the tenacity to see the game thru to the end because it's considered "difficult" compared to modern video games that you can practically just WALK through. lol ;0)
By: FoogieX10. on 14 Oct 08, 01:15:52
NES = Nintendo Entertainment System 8-bit graphics SNES = Super Nintendo Entertainment System 16-bit graphics They are too different systems. The Snes came after the Nes.
By: xxZanexx. on 13 Oct 08, 08:21:40
omg I didn't even know there was a difference.
By: creaothceann. on 12 Oct 08, 20:37:12
Yes, it's the first Zelda. I've only uploaded the video of this TAS (tool-assisted speedrun, see tinyurl[dot]com/qylpl for more info), which was created by Phil Côté. Most TASes require several months to create.
By: AlbaEvelyn. on 12 Oct 08, 19:44:01
GREAT! This is the first Zelda game, right? It's amazing how you finish the game in 26:24, I finished Twilight Princess in a month!
By: darkcoder6000. on 11 Oct 08, 04:33:37
lol matrix XD
By: creaothceann. on 10 Oct 08, 23:15:27
The TAS was created by Phil Côté. ;) I've never beaten it, but others are quite good at it (tinyurl[dot]com/8vvgq)...
By: Cannondaboss. on 10 Oct 08, 20:18:53
you're the only damn person i've seen thats beatin this damn game
By: creaothceann. on 10 Oct 08, 17:35:37
A TAS is just a sequence of keypresses. If we could press the buttons on the console as fast and as precise as a TAS author can, these tricks could be repeated in real-life.
By: turtleyto. on 10 Oct 08, 17:03:06
Anybody can do this if you changed the settings. You can't blow up the rhino unless you put it in its mouth and obvious other changes.
By: FoogieX10. on 06 Oct 08, 02:15:26
sorry but this is NES...
By: guilhugas. on 04 Oct 08, 22:20:34
25:37 - lol. link is blue!
By: m6novotny. on 01 Oct 08, 00:22:26
if you are making comparisons, i'll just make this last one. I'd say TAS is like hacking a game and using something in the game that was never there before, or meant to be there in the first place. i can see that we are both strict on our points. So let this convo be done.
By: creaothceann. on 30 Sep 08, 09:37:44
These movies are not mine; avoiding confusion about what they really are is the least I can do for the authors.
By: creaothceann. on 30 Sep 08, 09:37:36
Well, calling a TAS "not even a real speedrun" sounds condescending. Would you go to a HP fan's website (say, tinyurl[dot]com/4dva5q) and tell them that it's not real literature? Go to a chick flick and say that there's nothing happening at all? "this uses save states?! even worse" I'd compare with going to a Matrix movie and complaining that the movements are unrealistic...
By: m6novotny. on 30 Sep 08, 04:09:56
however, i failed to state in my previous post that i respect beyond anything, the people that state that they used slowdowns, etc. so thank you for that.
By: m6novotny. on 30 Sep 08, 04:05:29
no, i don't think its conceited. just like you said, i dont "have" to like it, and i pretty much don't. If you didn't read my first 4 words, i said, "yeah, it was ok" stating that this speedrun was ok. i was speaking in general when i said i don't like TAS because, as you said, it shows unrealistic versions of how the game is played, or meant to be played. maybe i like viewing how someone plays the game within their own limitations.
By: VonRichter. on 29 Sep 08, 01:44:48
RE: creaotheceaan: TAS doesn't bother except in cases where they aren't labeled as such, where people are trying to pass them off as real-time playing. That's just dishonest, but unfortunately all too common.
By: Cordivel. on 28 Sep 08, 17:10:45
there something with the bomb ^^
