They cross eachother.. Look up all the IDM artists on Wikipedia, and you get at least 3/4 of them up as both IDM and DnB artists. This is way more IDM though.. I must agree with you in this case, that it's not very DnB'ish, rather than IDM, but ofc, the drums is what sometimes classifies it as DnB.

True! Isn't braindance the name richard james gave to idm? Well I quite like the name 'braindance'. :) Drill & bass is in my eyes just the beat like in this song, but e.g. Szamár Madár of venetian snares is also drill&bass to me and it's totally different. And ye, richard james is right. "Intellegent" is just stupid.

I've heard many different names for this kind of music: Braindance, Drill & Bass, Artcore, Really Good Shit....take your pick. Richard D. James always found the title intelligent dance music to be funny, because it's sorta implying that all other music is dumb, something that was probably unintentional.

rock, jazz, blues, rap and the other music genres are more "body" music. PURE Computermusic you need a mind for, so you can call computermusic mindmusic. But not all electronic songs are so pure of mind(work) that you could call them mindmusic (as a genre). So, Autechre, Aphex Twin, Mike Paradinas and many more YOU CAN CALL MINDMUSICANS, so you could also call their stuff mindmusic. IDM stands for something that has to do with mind (intelligence) and (using) brain to do amazing work (music).
